Ideal Job

Hello class. My ideal job right out of school....hmmmm.Well i would have to say something in print, preferrably concert posters and promotion.I used to dj and ive always loved flyer art.I've designed a few flyers and i've designed all my own cd covers for my dj mixes. So i think a job similar to that would be great.

I would love to work in team environment when it comes to the actual physical chores and organizing etc.I would also love to work alone when getting into my creative space although creating with others is alot of fun too.I would love to be part of the creative process more than anything but i would also like to have my hand in the executing process as well.A fun and busy atmosphere is ideal.

As far as pay goes i would not be to picky. As long as i am working in the field i love then i have no problem starting off at the minimum salary for that field.I would love to learn as many more aspects of my field as possible so i can have my hand in all steps of the product, from start to finish.

I think that alot of design jobs will probably require alot of computer interaction which is fine with me.Video editing especially.I actually really like making art through a computer.I used to dj with vinyl records and my record bag was so heavy but in these times there is dj software that just plays mp3.Not only is it cheaper but i am saving a ton of space now.

I would definately prefer to work in the design department.Being creative is what im all about.whether its creating breakfast, music, new jogging routes, home decor, you name it.It is definately a big part of my life.Working for an agency would probably be the best option,at least till i become a ninja in my field then i would consider freelance.Being my own boss would be awesome.

  1. Thats awesome how you did DJ. I also like to make my own designs for random things but i find myself doing that less now.

  2. enjoyed reading your blog :)

i agree if you're doing something you enjoy, pay plays a smaller role in job decisions.

being creative sounds like it plays a big role in your industry... if you're creative in your breakfast and jogging routes- i'm sure you'll do great putting your ideas in print!
